What we offer
Free transport service
For more than 30 years, the Seafarer’s Centre has been offering a free transport service to every seafarer in the Gulf of Fos.
Transport services to the Club happen between 5pm and 7.30pm and the rides back to the port are between 9.30pm and 10.30pm. You can call during the day to book the evening service.
First, we take them back to the Seamen’s Club mainly to exchange currencies. Then if they need, we drive them to the nearest supermarket. Then, depending on their needs, we take them to the nearest supermarket.
Some seafarers wish to send money to their relatives. In this case, we take care of the transport to the Western Union office and help them with the procedures.
(Original passport required)
Delivery service
With the advent of Covid in 2020, we have all changed the way we live and work. This health crisis also affected the Seafarers’ Centre, which was able to find solutions to continue to help the seafarers. The latter were no longer allowed to leave their ships. Since September 2020, we have introduced a dockside delivery service including all the products offered by the Seafarers’ Center.
Relaxation area
The Seafarers’ Centre offers a free internet connection, a shop selling souvenirs and basic necessities, fast food, musical instruments (guitars and percussion instruments) and various games of skill (darts, billiards, table football, table tennis).
Seafarers have access to a reading corner with novels, magazines and sacred books translated into ten foreign languages.
A place of worship is also open to all.
The Seafarers’ Centre does not offer accommodation services
