A word from the Seafarers

M/V LACONICAS
The Seamen’s Club is the best place to visit for a seafarer like me. Everything in my life is a problem and it all makes me worry. But when I come to a place like this, even for a very short time, I can forget my problems and feel happy.

M/V SEAOATH
The Seafarers’ Centre is a home away from home. We thank all those who founded and opened this home to seafarers. After a long, arduous and lonely journey across the 8 points of the compass, it might seem like a journey back to “nowhere” but it has become a refuge for us. The seafarer’s life is no walk in the park.

M/V SEACROSS
We thank you for your warm welcome and hospitality to the seafarers who sail the 7 seas. As we continue to lead a hard life at sea, we wonder if once in our lives we will find people who really care about us seafarers. It is good for us to have come to a place like this!

M/V YAMATU
Working on a boat is a lot of sacrifices! Being away from family and friends all the time makes you feel lonely. Many thanks to people like you who make us feel like we are at home.
M/V ANTALYA
We thank you for taking the time to pick us up on board and bring us to the Seamen’s Club. We pray, and wish, that you will continue for a long time!

M/V MED NAGOYA
We had a lot of fun here tonight, away from the boat. Places like this are good for us! We, who are away from the shore, at sea, for a long time. We send our best wishes to the team of this organisation.

M/V TERN
On behalf of the crew of the vessel M/V TERN. We give our sincere thanks to the staff of the Seamen’s Club who, through their effort and dedicated service, made it possible for us to come to visit the centre even though the port is very far away. You have been a relief giver to so many seamen who just want to move away from the ship even for a second to refresh their minds.
Once again, more grease to your elbow.

M/V EUROLINK
It’s a pleasure for a seaman to find such peaceful and joyful places near the ports around the world.
M/V ELLI
We come here to forget the ships, to see different faces, to change our minds, to listen to music and to make friends.
M/V JAPAN SENATOR
This is my first time at this port. I hope I’ll come again.
You who are reading me, you may not know me, you may never have the opportunity to see me in your life, but now I am known to you, since you have read me. We are human beings, we are all the same.
M/V FALCON ARROW
A request for friendship. I was here looking for a friend. Congratulations on your world cup victory! Vive la France and Vive l’Inde!
